Count the door once, then add its bathroom latch
In the quote form, include your bathroom door in the hollow core or solid core quantity. Then enter how many of those doors need bathroom privacy latches. The latch quantity is a hardware requirement within your door count, not an extra door.
For example, if you have three standard internal doors and one is for a bathroom, enter the three doors under their respective types and one bathroom latch. You can mix bathroom and non-bathroom doors in the same enquiry.
Tell me about your privacy hardware
Let me know whether you already have the bathroom handles, privacy lock or latch and hinges. Product details are useful because different handle and lock arrangements may need different preparation in the door.
If you are reusing existing hardware, mention that before booking. If the hardware hasn’t been chosen yet, add a note so we can discuss what is needed. Hardware supply and any additional work are agreed separately from the fitting estimate.
Plan around the rest of the bathroom work
Tell me whether the existing frame is staying and whether new flooring, tiles or decorating will change the opening or floor level. If other trades are still working in the room, mention your proposed schedule so we can agree a sensible fitting date.
For a bathroom in a flat, include the floor, lift access and building arrangements alongside your postcode. The fitting estimate depends on your property type as well as the doors and bathroom latch quantities. Removal of the old door is not included; please arrange it separately.
When a door needs a personal assessment
The bathroom latch option in the form applies to standard hollow and solid core doors. If any door in the job is a fire door, enter it as a fire door and describe the hardware requirements in the notes.
